EC Won't Start

I had a coming out of sleep lockup this morning. Now the EC won't start. No error message, nothing in Windows event logs, it just opens and closes instantly. I've tried messing with permissions, I've tried upgrading my video drivers. I've tried reinstalling the 2010 DirectX redistributable. I've tried reinstalling the EC. I've tried checking disks for errors and sfc /scannow. I've tried all the compatibility modes. No joy.
